Romantic, Vintage, Elegant.

August 12th  -  It was a classic scorcher summer day in the Okanagan. I believe it might have been the hottest day of 2011. Dena & Adam had a perfect wedding on a perfect day.  They had decided to have their ceremony at a friend’s lakefront property, later in the day. So that their guests did not have a long  space in between ceremony and reception. They really did keep their guests’ comfort in mind throughout the whole day.

From the ceremony, everyone moved to the Laurel Packinghouse. A classic, heritage building in Kelowna. It has such character  built into the venue already that you don’t need to add too much to the space to make it even more beautiful. Cabana’s Catering provided the food and service for their reception. Guests were treated to food stations as they entered – Kushi Oysters,Kobe mini burgers,  Truffled Raviolis. YUM!

Vineyard lights had been strung from the rafters, antiqued silver vases were placed around the room. The bride chose elegant white mums, deep burgundy callas  and antiqued roses for the centrepieces all from Enterprise Flowers. Candles were placed into several sized mason jars, filled with Spanish Moss. It was the little details that were important to Adam & Dena.

Happy 2012 Everyone! I hope that you all had an amazing holiday season. You had time to make some new, and important memories with those who matter the most to you. I thought we should start this New Year off with a winter wedding from last winter, it was such an amazingly beautiful day at Big White Ski Resort. The snow fell through the night before the wedding day, so when we woke up it was like a brand new winter wonderland. The sun was bright and sparkled off the snow like thousands of diamonds. It was simply breathtaking.

Brad & Angela had so many personal touches included, that  it really made their day very unique. This beautiful day was captured perfectly by Renee from Wedded Bliss Photography. Their dinner was held in the Kettle Valley Steakhouse – its a small but intimate venue. The food was divine!

Winter weddings can be so beautiful! If you are planning your wedding, take a moment to think if perhaps this might be something you would like to do! Vendors are a lot easier to find because it is the off- season… Something to think about!

Well, its been too long since I lasted posted anything on here. So I feel its about time! And I’m glad to share some of my hard work from this summer with you. The very talented Darren Hull passed some very lovely photos of one of my couples from September.

September 10th- Was a beautiful Saturday, perfect for a wedding. Okanagan Serenity Gardens is a wonderful venue for a warm day. Their area for ceremonies is surrounded by tall trees, and beautiful landscaped gardens. Classical Guitarist Rodriego had learned a few U2 songs to play  specially for Dawn & Mike.  The guests were treated to poached pears, brie cheese, and champagne after the ceremony, and time to visit with the Happy Couple.

The Okanagan Golf Club is an awesome venue for a wedding. The staff are experienced, knowledgable, and perform their roles perfectly. The room is very neutral, so you can decorate how you want. It is large and spacious and can fit quite large weddings. Not to mention the food is delicious too!

I really do wish Dawn & Mike a lifetime of happiness together. They are one of the sweetest and cutest couples I’ve had the pleasure to work with so far.

A lovely summer day in the Okanagan, July 29 was a celebration of love at La Casa Resort. Toni & Des and their 3 children had a beautiful ceremony overlooking the expansive view from the terrace. They had a classical guitarist Rodriego from Airwaves Music, play for their ceremony. Cheri Chung from CC Artistry made Toni the most Beautiful Bride, and check out this fabulous wedding teaser trailer from LimeLight Studios.
